INTERESTIG ACTIVITIES FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS

Hello everybody! I am going to tell you about some activities that we can do with our primary school students.

Activity: Build Models of Geometric Figures

Through this hands-on activity, students can explore and understand the properties of different geometric shapes. To build models of shapes such as cubes, pyramids, cylinders, spheres, we can use materials such as sticks, plasticine, straws, etc.

Thanks to the visualisation of the models built, children can observe and analyse characteristics such as the number of faces, vertices and the relationships between the elements. They can also explore how different geometric shapes can be combined to create more complex structures.

This activity helps to develop spatial skills, such as understanding of geometric concepts and pupils' creativity. It also allows them to manipulate and experiment with shapes in a fun and exciting way.

Activity: Geometric dominoes game

The geometric domino game is a fun activity that allows students to practice recognising and classifying different geometric shapes.

To play the game, dominoes are created with different geometric shapes on each half. Students match the dominoes according to how well the shapes match, whether by shape, colour, size or other characteristic.

While playing, students develop observation, analysis and data collection skills.
